EUREKA

Ideas: They are seldom and when they come, they come in waves, more like a tide, there is high tide and low tide. When the tide of creativity is high, everything clicks, you’re in the zone, everything links together in a perfect chain of eventful and blissful creativity. You are making discovery after discovery and it seems like every cell in your body is in sync and helping you through the creative process.

During low tides, there is a complete lack of mental balance which drains each creative pore, and it is a scary sensation of desperation that makes any attempt to create something worthwhile futile: desperation because each time you wonder if that creative high tide will ever return. Thank goodness, you trust it’s a repeating cycle and you just have to arm yourself with patience, a quality I do not poses.
